Superstar Tshirt Orders

Attention parents:  If your child ordered an AES Super Star tshirt and did not receive it to wear this Friday, it is because we ran out of shirts.  We are ordering more and should be in next week.  We are thrilled that they were a huge hit, but apologize that we ran out.

If you would like to still participate Friday, please wear school colors or an Altavista tshirt.

PreK and Kindergarten Orientation Day Information

AES parents and families,

First thank you for your participation and support during our Open House last night.

 Our PreK and Kindergarten orientation will be held Monday, August 14th from 8:15 to 11:15.  This orientation day is strictly voluntary and intended for students only.  Our goal for the day is allowing students to become familiar with their new building, teachers, and routines.

Bus transportation will be provided for students only.  If your child is riding a bus on Monday the 14th, pick and drop off will be at the location provided to the school division. If adjustments are required for drop off locations for this orientation day, please contact your child’s school immediately.

Your child will be picked up at normal scheduled time. We anticipate all PreK and Kindergarten students being dropped off at their assigned bus stop between 11:15 and 11:45 PM.  Please be reminded for safety reasons CCPS will not drop off your elementary child without an adult being present at the stop.

 

Car riders are expected to be dropped off at 8:15 and picked up at 11:15.

We hope to see your child on Monday.

After the most recent school board meeting, there have been changes to our school calendar for the end of the year.

Friday
, May, 26 - Full School Day
Tuesday, May 30 - Two hr. early dismissal
Wednesday, May 31 - Two hr. early dismissal - LAST DAY of school

Family Fun Night - Friday, March 17th - SIGN UP SHEET and $ due MONDAY, MARCH 13th

We hope you and your family will join us for a night of fun. 
We will provide dinner and entertainment for the evening. 
This PTO sponsored event will take the place of Spring Fling.

Enjoy dinner and activities with your family are from 5:00 - 7:00pm until the movie begins at 7:00pm.
Activities will include a magician, silent auction, cake walk, toy walk, and bingo.

There are THREE ways to participate


 Option 1:
$5 per person (adult/child)

Includes:
*Dinner
*1 Bingo Pass
*1 Cake Walk Pass
*1 Toy Walk Pass
*Magic Show
*Admission to movie
 Option 2:
$10 per person (adult/child)

Includes:
*Dinner
*Unlimited Bingo
*Unlimited Cake Walk
*Unlimited Toy Walk
*Magic Show
*Admission to movie
 Option 3:
$1 per person (pay at the door)

Includes:
*Admission to movie

Arrive at 7:00pm

Please send back the yellow form to make your reservation. 
Forms and money are due by March 13th.
No refunds will be given once reservation is made.
Pick up arm bands at the front entrance on Friday night, March 17th.

Ident-A-Kid Coming Soon!

World's Finest Chocolate Sale to Begin!

Parents:   Help us make a difference!!!
We are selling World's Finest Chocolate to raise money to fund our PTO!!  Your participation makes it possible for our PTO to provide many programs not available through traditional funding.  All money raised will benefit all students at our school.  Our goal is $12,000 profit (that's 400 boxes of chocolate)

We are selling the boxes of 30 assorted $2.00 World's Finest Chocolate Bars and Cartons:  Mints, Caramels, and whole chocolate covered almonds!

Boxes can be picked up from the school starting on Thursday, February 23rd - 3:30 - 5:30pm.

Students can earn PRIZES!!
Earn a #Hashtag bracelet just for turning in your permission slip!

Sell 1 box: Earn a key chain
Sell 2 boxes:  Earn a 2nd key chain PLUS a pair of sound reactive light up party glasses!!
Sell 3 boxes:  Earn a 3rd keychain PLUS a Mystery Cash Envelope!!!
Sell 4 boxes:  Earn a 4th key chain, a 1-pound chocolate bar, and your name entered to win $50
Sell 5 boxes:  Be in a drawing for a 5-pound chocolate bar

The top two sellers will win a $200.00 gift card.

**Boxes are checked out to the seller.  It is the seller's responsibility for selling the entire box (or 30) and returning ALL of the money ($60) to the school NO LATER than March 10th!  CHOCOLATE CAN NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT IS CHECKED OUT!!

Snow Make-up Days

to the school calendar in order to make up the days missed for snow.

The following days will now be FULL days of school.
