At Altavista Elementary School, we are a TEAM.    Part of being a team is knowing how to work together to help others -- showing we CARE!
For the month of September, our AES TEAM has partnered with the Claire Parker Foundation. We are "Reaching for the Gold" this September because it is pediatric cancer awareness month.

The Claire Parker Foundation's mission is to support and care for families affected by pediatric cancer.  Their goal is to ease the financial and emotional burdens associated with pediatric cancer through their Care Box, financial assistance, and bereavement support.  Upon losing their own daughter to Leukemia at an early age of 20 months, it inspired them to walk alongside families in this journey to help improve their quality of life and allow them to more fully enjoy every moment with their precious child.  (You can get more information by visiting www.claireparkerfoundation.org).

This fundraiser is a fun way for our students at AES to help other children much like themselves.  Every dollar raised will help The Claire Parker Foundation meet the needs of and encourage a sick child and their family.
There are prizes to be earned for the different giving levels:

$5 - lanyard
$25 - flying disk
$50 - orange silicone watch
$100 - T-shirt and Drawstring bag
$250 - 10" stuffed giraffe

The prizes do accumulate.

Envelopes came home with the students on Friday.  Please consider participating in this worthwhile cause, and help us show that AES TEAM cares!
