Did you know that the Center for Disease Control and Children's Oncology Group estimate that more than a classroom of children will be diagnosed with cancer every day in the U.S.?  Let's "Reach for the Gold" to bring awareness and support to pediatric cancer.  This fundraiser is a fun way for children to help other children much like themselves.  Every dollar raised will help The Clair Parker Foundation meet the needs of a sick child and encourage their family.  We are grateful for your participation to help the many children that our foundation reaches.

Altavista Elementary School is once again partnering with The Claire Parker Foundation in the "Reach for the Gold" fundraising campaign.

From September 6th - September 23rd we will be collecting money to be donated to the Foundation.

"The mission of our foundation is to support and care for families affected by pediatric cancer. Our goal is to ease the financial and emotional burdens through our Care Box Program, Drew's Cruisers Program, financial assistance, and emotional support. We currently serve Duke Children's, UVA Children's. Roanoke Memorial, Brenner Children's, and Levine Children's Hospital. Any child diagnosed in the Central Virginia, Southwestern Virginia, or North Carolina area will be touched by our foundation. Support our foundation, and support those battling in your community."
