The 2021-2022 school year marks Mrs. Herndon's 16th year in education. As a resident of Altavista, she appreciates the opportunity to work with young students within her own community.

Mrs. Herndon holds a B.S. in Psychology from the beautiful and picturesque Ferrum College. She earned her M.Ed. in Counseling from Lynchburg College while working at Bridges Treatment Center & the Career Development Center at LC.

AES kids enjoy monthly classroom guidance lessons with Mrs. Herndon as well as small group and individual sessions.
